How to make a decent cup of tea using a 'one cup' teabag

  1. What happened to the Yorkshire tea?!

  2. Jim, I think that the message here is that two bags of "English Tea" are needed to equal one Yorkshire tea bag. I think that I agree.

What i need to know is where to get a mega bag of Yorkshire tea bags - here in Paisley we can only find boxes!

    1. Graham, I'm a Assam loose-leaf man myself!

  3. Edinburgh hotels are a bit lacking in Yorkshire tea, sadly.
I confess I got the big bag of teabags from Amazon, but I think Taylors might do direct mail order.
Even with Yorkshire Tea, you still need two 'one cup' bags to a mug. But to their credit, Taylors have (apparently) stopped making 'one cup' bags.
Definitely Assam for me too if I have to go single variety.
As you know, I don't think that bags/loose is the biggest difference - so much more depends on what you do with them.

  4. Another vote for loose leaf Assam here.
Bought from that place in the corner of the covered market in Oxford.
