Bad timing

I remember well the summer of 2006 ... Hot and dry; the sun beating down as I blacked Warrior for the first time.

A report from the recent Met Office conference has just confirmed that, because of temperature cycles in the Atlantic, 2006 was the last time we had a properly warm, dry summer.

It was in 2007, of course, that we started taking long summer boat trips.
