I think they did it for the 100th anniversary of them starting? They also have one in a seventies brown and cream South Yorkshire Transport (?) livery. Which is a nice touch, I think.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13415652783746217494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5087283544997030082.post-64347437267868391422017-11-27T21:59:56.445+00:002017-11-27T21:59:56.445+00:00Bloody 'ell Sarah, you'll be joining me bu...Bloody 'ell Sarah, you'll be joining me bus riding next! I remember the first generation of Sheffield trams. Beautiful cream and blue double deckers but still with conductors with leather cash bags. And I haven't heard "any more fares" on the buses for 30 years or more!Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14502754753792780008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5087283544997030082.post-88842973979266264752017-11-27T09:19:34.718+00:002017-11-27T09:19:34.718+00:00Wow! (That’s a compliment, as I’m sure you realise)
Many years ago on your Warrior blog you made reference to DG so I went to see what you were on about and am now hooked. Now you give me the joys of Sheffield trams to add to bus stop M. My cup floweth over.
(Actually I couldn’t care less about bus stop M, except that I love the way DG writes about it. The trams, well my son was at Sheffield Hallam, met his Sheffield born and bred girlfriend there, so I feel a sort of distanced ownership. Meaning I’m fascinated at the prospect of your tram adventures. That and, like with DG, I so enjoy the way you write. )
Long may it last!
AnnUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13256831297400654411noreply@blogger.com
