The boat reached the lock but due to the large amount of silt
by the lock gate, the gates were inoperable. The estimated cost of dredging the
branch and in light of the current funding constraints it will not be considered
a priority at the moment. Other options to remove the silt to make the branch
navigable are being looked at.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01759448161130667128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5087283544997030082.post-82790555536011172952011-04-19T00:34:52.512+01:002011-04-19T00:34:52.512+01:00That's the link to the TNC cruise on the River...That's the link to the TNC cruise on the River Dee in 2004, taking their boat through the watergate in the large weir upstream of lock in question

http://www.tuesdaynightclub.co.uk/Tour_04/Tour04_11.html
http://www.jim-shead.com/waterways/river.php?wpage=DEEAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5087283544997030082.post-81795217584974456902011-04-18T21:26:21.149+01:002011-04-18T21:26:21.149+01:00Trust the word of Nicholsons eh, why should you wh...Trust the word of Nicholsons eh, why should you when we don't ever trust their view of pubs - they are certainly always wrong about them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5087283544997030082.post-67127880447993751612011-04-18T07:49:05.256+01:002011-04-18T07:49:05.256+01:00Ooh, I don't know.
